Email already in use

Overview

If you are setting up your account and you get the error "Email already in use" or "Emal Address not Available" this means that the email you are trying to use was already used previously for an account.

To solve this problem

For beam, Garageio, and Guardian Smart Controllers

If you know the password for this account

  1. Use the same password used when creating the previous account..
  2. Continue with the setup.

If you don't know the password

  1. Go back to the first page of the app.
  2. Enter your email and a random password as a placeholder.
  3. Click “LOG IN” and enter your email and password.
  4. Click “RESET PASSWORD".
  5. Follow app instructions to reset your password.
  6. After this, you can go back to the setup. Use the email and password.
