How to Share Door with Others

Overview

Inviting users to control your door can easily be done within the beam Home mobile app.

Using the beam Mobile App

For beam, Garageio, and Guardian Smart Controllers

Open the door settings by tapping the “Settings” button on the door you would like to share.
Select “Manage Users”.
Select "Add new User".
Enter the email address of the new user
Select "Add new User".

If the user already has a beam account, they will be automatically granted access to your garage door once you invite them. If the user does not have a beam account, they will receive an email requesting they create one.

Using the beam Web page

For beam, Garageio, and Guardian Smart Controllers

Enter https://app.beamlabs.io/
Log in with your email and password
Under the Manage User section select "Add User"
Enter the email address of the new user
Choose the Door(s) to share
Select "Invite".
